Brisbane City Councilor for Moorooka, Steve Griffiths, has donated four stingless bee hives to Brisbane Primary Schools. In conjunction with native bee workshops, Bee Aware Brisbane has now installed two of these in two schools, Moorooka State School and Watson Road State School, with two more schools to follow very soon. Steve Griffiths is a stingless bee keeper himself, and that, combined with his background in education, led to this collaboration with Bee Aware Brisbane. Imagine if all Brisbane City Councilors donated stingless bee hives to schools in their electorates! Why not write to them and ask?
